Album CD Superman Is Dead
Superman is Dead
SID, punk rock pionir Bali, lahir dan dibesarkan di Kuta Rock City. Band ini adalah tiga akord sikap-berat pria muda, dengan nama: Bobby Kool (lead vokal, gitar, pecinta anjing dan seorang desainer grafis), Eka Rock (ridin rendah keluarga man ', peminum bir, santai bass dan backing vokal dan hangat 'Rock' N Roll bandman smilin, IT warior), Jrx ('minum bir Rock' N Roll ridin rendah pangeran menawan, drummer dan seorang pecandu hairwax, pemilik Bar)
Nama 'Superman is Dead' mulai evolusi 'nya dari Stone Temple Pilot "Superman Silvergun". Nama pindah ke "Superman is Dead" karena mereka menyukai gagasan bahwa tidak ada hal seperti itu sebagai orang yang sempurna di luar sana.
SID sebenarnya tersandung bersama di '95, ditarik oleh cinta bersama mereka dari Green Day dan NOFX. Pengaruh mereka segera diperluas untuk genre punk n roll 'a Supersuckers la, Akhir Hidup dan Social Distortion, dan di sini mereka tinggal. Mereka mengatakan apa yang mereka ingin katakan, bagaimana mereka ingin mengatakannya. Dalam wajah Anda, untuk mengatakan itu tepat.
SID public image, self dijelaskan, adalah "Punk Rock a Bali" (berpikir energi baku dari NOFX Social Distortion vs supersonik didorong dengan bir-direndam sikap Rockabilly Bali).
Sejarah? SID menghasilkan tiga album pertama mereka secara mandiri (anak-anak bekerja tahun pekerjaan malam jelek), dengan luar biasa, indie label skala kecil 1997 "Kasus 15", 1999 "Superman is Dead", 2002 "Bad Bad Bad" (mini album, 6 lagu ).
Pada bulan Maret 2003, SID akhirnya menandatangani kontrak dengan Sony-BMG Indonesia setelah negosiasi diperpanjang mengenai hak mereka untuk menyanyikan mayoritas lagu mereka dalam bahasa Inggris dan memiliki hak artistik penuh atas 'image' mereka! Dengan keputusan bahwa mereka satu tangan menjadi band pertama dari Bali yang akan diundang untuk sign dengan label rekaman besar di Indonesia, band pertama di negara mereka (untuk pengetahuan saya) untuk menjadi mayoritas rekaman lagu dalam bahasa Inggris dan band punk pertama di Indonesia untuk mendapatkan eksposur nasional dan promosi yang bekerja dengan label besar di negara dunia ketiga menyediakan. Dan sehingga sejarah Indonesia dimulai Punk Rock!
Dan sebagai untuk pertanyaan yang semua orang ingin tahu, bom terkenal di Bali terjadi sekitar 75 M dari rumah mereka, tempat nongkrong pusat, punk rock butik, bar dan studio latihan yang juga rumah Jrx ', di jantung Kuta.
Setelah memukul kembali panel pintu rolling studio dan bergeser sedikit puing, latihan terus seperti biasa. Ya, mereka melihat banyak, itu mengisap waktu besar, tapi 'tidak akan berhenti' em!
Dan di mana mereka sekarang? Pada akhir tahun 2002, salah satu majalah musik lebih terhormat di sini dikutip SID sebagai "The Next Big Thing" untuk tahun 2003. Dengan merilis album keempat mereka "Kuta Rock City" diikuti dengan bermain udara utama nasional dan di beberapa negara di luar negeri, ditambah dengan popularitas instan klip film terbaru mereka.
SID tiba-tiba menemukan diri mereka tur terus menerus di seluruh Indonesia. Minggu lalu mereka berada di empat kota besar di Indonesia, di tiga pulau, dalam 7 hari! Kadang-kadang bermain gratis di klub scene bawah tanah, kadang-kadang di pesta-pesta jalanan atau festival band yang meluncur alternatif, di banyak universitas dan bahkan kadang-kadang di "berkelas" tempat yang mungkin akan menolak mereka masuk tahun yang lalu!
Yang berarti bir lebih untuk semua.
Pada tahun 2003 SID bahkan mendapat menyebutkan dalam Time Asia.
Mereka juga memenangkan penghargaan musik beberapa "MTV Awards untuk The Best New Artist 2003", "AMI Awards untuk The Best New Artist 2003" dan dinominasikan lagi di "AMI Awards 2006 untuk The Best Rock Album".
Oktober 2007, mereka melakukan tur Australia yang menakjubkan, 8 kota, 16 gigs, 33 hari dengan etika kerja yang kuat DIY.
Juni-Juli 2009, Superman Is Dead diadakan An tur Amerika, 16 Gigs di 16 kota. 11 gigs dari mereka adalah 'Vans Warped Tour' dan 5 terakhir pertunjukan adalah 'Dari Bali Dengan Rock'. Mereka melakukan pekerjaan yang sangat sulit untuk berhasil wisata ini bersemangat, telah menyeberangi tanah besar dari westcoast ke eastcoast dan kembali ke westcoast.
SID telah tahap berbagi dengan band-band internasional seperti Konspirasi Kebisingan Internasional, NOFX, MXPX dan Hoobastank.
Mereka tetap bangga, anak laki-laki dari jalanan Kuta dengan cinta rock punk, bir dan waktu yang baik. Siap untuk apa pun yang datang berikutnya, bersemangat tentang manggung berikutnya.

BERSIH-BERSIH—Ratusan punkers se-DIY, Klaten dan Purworejo menggelar aksi bersih-bersih sampah di Pantai Glagah, Kulonprogo, Minggu (25/3) (JIBI/Harian Jogja/Abdul Hamied Razak)
Ratusan punkers (sebutan anak-anak punk) menyerbu Pantai Glagah, di Kulonprogo. Kedatangan mereka bukan hendak hura-hura atau berbuat rusuh. Mereka datang untuk berunjuk rasa, menggugah kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan.
Kantong plastik sampah berukuran besar digenggam tangan kiri Ragil Budi Aji, 20. Satu persatu, tangan kanannya memungut sampah yang berserakan di pinggir pantai. Ragil tak sendiri. Dia bersama 450 anak punk Outsiders (penggemar band Superman Is Dead laki-laki) dan Lady Rose (penggemar band Superman Is Dead perempuan), membersihkan pantai dari kotoran yang bisa merusak pantai.
Sesekali mereka terlihat bergurau, kemudian tertawa. Bahkan, saat gelombang ombak naik dan menghampiri punkers, mereka berlari kalang kabut agar tidak basah. Anak-anak punk itu sengaja menyusuri bibir pantai sepanjang 1,5 kilometer dengan penuh semangat dan satu tujuan.
Setelah dua jam berlalu, truk sampah yang disediakan pun berisi ratusan kantong penuh sampah. ”Pantai ini sebenarnya bagus. Punya potensi dan daya tarik luar biasa. Hanya, banyak sampahnya. Kami peduli dengan masalah lingkungan,” kata Ragil, salah satu punkers saat ditemui di sela-sela kegiatan, Minggu (25/3).
Ragil merupakan ketua komunitas Punk Outsiders di Kulonprogo. Dia tidak setuju dengan pandangan miring masyarakat selama ini terhadap komunitas punk. ”Kami anak punk baik. Jangan benci kami. Kami juga cinta terhadap lingkungan. Mereka yang membenci kami, belum tentu mau membersihkan sampah ini,” seru Ragil.
Selain anak-anak komunitas punk, sekitar 25 anggota Tagana (Taruna Siaga Bencana) Kulonprogo juga terlibat kegiatan tersebut. ”Keterlibatan Tagana juga mendukung inisiatif komunitas punkers yang peduli terhadap lingkungan.
